This small batch of unique qinghua gaiwans feature the ancient seal script character for tea hand-painted from cobalt oxide. Wild clay is combined with Japanese porcelain to create a more aged feeling base for the underglaze painting. A thin layer of white glaze was sprayed with ash to create an antiqued charm and variation to the peices.
In the 100ml range, these are the perfect size. The lids on these fit very well for handmade gaiwan allowing for perfect pouring.
